Visit in the studio.
I am drawn to inner processes and how they become visible and more known through relationships. My work is narrative, and can include family members, friends, local landscapes, filmography, dreams and architecture. I am inspired by a feeling that is elusive yet familiar, and lies in the construction of the space. The presence of things meeting with the presence of other things including the space, composes the atmosphere. I sometimes include found material for its otherness, relatability, and as a reminder of the tactile world which we belong to. I am concerned with my experience as as a woman and my place in the world. I am curious about how things influence each other physically, emotionally and spiritually, and the results of that. My aim is to embody feelings that are indefinable and integral.
